THE SKBS - Just real people, making music.

The SKBs began as a personal music project, but it has grown into something much bigger: an independent UK-based collective of musicians, writers and performers creating honest, melodic rock with a touch of Americana.

We’re not a traditional band. We think of the people who listen, follow, come to shows and support the music less as customers, and more as friends of the project.

No hype, no egos. Just strong songs, real performances and a growing community around the music.

Recent releases have received support from Planet Rock, including airplay from Elles Bailey, alongside recognition from internationally respected broadcaster Alan Cross.

The music

Our debut album, Where This Leads Us, introduced the SKBs sound: thoughtful songwriting, strong melodies and performances from a wide circle of talented musicians.

Across two albums, the project has brought together an expanding group of respected musicians, writers and performers, helping shape a sound that continues to evolve.

We’re now building towards our second album, The Next Stop. It’s a more focused and confident step forward, leaning further into rock and country influences while keeping the warmth and honesty at the heart of the project.

The music is also starting to travel. Recent singles have been finding listeners beyond the UK, with growing support in places including Sweden and Germany.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE MUSIC

The SKBs may be a new name, but the project is built around experienced musicians, writers and performers from across the UK and beyond.

As the project grows, so does the list of contributors helping shape its sound, both in the studio and on stage.

The SKBs continue to grow through collaboration, word of mouth and people choosing to support the journey.

There is more music on the way, more contributors joining the project, and more stories to tell behind the songs, the players and the performances.
