“Drifting Away” is a very personal release for us. This CD has been created in loving memory of mum, Geraldine Sharp, and £5 from every sale will be donated to St Helena Hospice, who provided such outstanding care, compassion and support in her final days. The remaining £2 simply covers the cost of producing the CDs and card processing fees. Rather than a traditional release, this is something a little more meaningful — a chance to support a truly important cause while also being part of a piece of music that comes from a very real place. Everyone involved in this project has given their time and talent freely to help make it happen, and we’re incredibly grateful for that. If you choose to pick up a copy, please know that you’re not just buying a CD — you’re helping support the vital work that St Helena Hospice continues to do for so many families.

The Next Stop is the difficult second album from The SKBs—and they’ve leaned straight into the challenge. Following the unexpected but warmly welcomed success of Where This Leads Us, the SKBs return with 11 new tracks that feel tighter, bolder, and a little more rock-leaning. The core collective is back—songwriter Al Sharp, producer Tom Donovan, vocalist Sara Davey, and drummer Leon Cave (of Status Quo)—delivering a more focused set of songs with a confident edge. There’s still variety and warmth, but the intent is clearer. The Prying Eye brings a swaggering rock-pop disco pulse, while Sanctuary leans into classic rock tones. For those who loved the gentler moments of the debut, Ronnie from the Train offers a straight-ahead country feel, and Change nods to modern country styles. Elsewhere, the gloves come off: Crazy Place and the anthemic Ready to Go are full-blooded rockers, built for volume and momentum. The Next Stop doesn’t try to outdo the debut—it sharpens it. It’s the sound of a collective that knows who it is now: experienced players, honest songs, and no rush to be anything other than real. Just real people, making music—and moving forward. Expected release July 2026
